Vamps, Then & Now    $12

A novelty CD.

A funky frolic through musical time from the Roaring Twenties to the present played, honky tonk piano style and in retro sound. There's even a sound simulating the needle drop heard on 78 RPM records of yesteryear. The crackle is totally intentional.

"Last Date" features harmonica by Westside Andy (Linderman). Janet Tyler Johnson's vocal on "Ain't Misbehavin" reprise is totally steamy.

Great upbeat music for parties, road trips, attitude adjustment and reportedly, inspiration while cleaning the house. Matures will reminisce to the oldies, Baby Boomers will recall a time or two at the local saloon, and kids just might find "Vamps" quite catchy. Certainly, kitschy.
